HISTORIC ROUTE 66
The Route 66 born on November 11, 1926 in Springfield (Mo). It the first Highway in U.S. that cross whole country West to East. This route cross eight states, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and California, before to travel three thousand nine hundred fourty kilometers. It start in Chicago and finish in Santa Monica (California). It are called "Mother road", "Main street of America" and "Will Rogers Highway" in honor to song.
This route was excluded the National Highway system on one thousand nine hundred eighty five year. Nowdays this route is closed in some places, because is in poor condition. But we can find many Driven-Inn resturants, Motels, groceries store, old gas station, rest places and Museums of the route.
