TRIP TO CHICAGO

It was early in the morning and we woke up to begin the trip to Chicago. We programmed the route in the GPS, fastened the seat belt and started the car.

The route began on Friday at 3:30am, the first smalltown that we found was Strafford, and the second one was Fort Leonard Wood. The third small-town was Rolla. Then we arrived to St Louis and saw the Gateway Arch and the Cardinals Field Team. During this time, we traveled near to Historic Route 66. We arrived to Chicago at 01:00pm after oraveling 520 miles and nine hours.

Once in Chicago we went to Willy Towers and we saw the city from Sky deck. The city has more the one thousand tall buildings. We were waiting until 9pm for see the light of the city. It was exiting!!
At night, we were riding in boat across the river, and it was beautiful. The architectural are rich in old and contemporary building.

We walked searching for meal. We wanted to eat at Hard Rock or Hooter, but these were closed.  Nevertheless, we found a good restaurant, and we ate hot dogs.  Afterwards, we went to sleep.

The Saturday in the morning, we had breakfast in Mc’Donald. Then, we went to the Millenium Park. This park has many attractions, but The Bean is an amazing sculpture, although it have other one, for example: Jay Pritzker Pavilian, Crow Fountaid and the sculpture the head of a woman.

It was 3 pm when we ate a good lunch with a Pizza, but we had to wait for 1 hour. After, we took pictures of the city.

By time, we could not take a tour in the down town in bus, because we wanted to know the firewalls in a big city, but we did not like.  The firewalls finished after 15 minutes.  For us, the firewalls were similar to our country.

We were tired from a busy day we went to sleep.

At 9:30 a.m. we took the route back to Hammond house and arrived at 8 pm.  In the route, we learned to use the speed control.  The trip was a great experience for us.
